Yesterday around 5pm one of our girls and a friend were leaving our house and about 1/2 way down the block toward Independence when a male individual walked past and stuck his middle finger up at them, was sneering at them, and then pretended that he was reaching inside his jacket for a gun. The girls stopped, called us and Phil went and got them. They were pretty shaken up. Come to find out, another neighbor also had an encounter with this individual earlier this week. This was in the middle of the day. He also stuck his middle finger up at this person and similar to the situation yesterday, acted like he was reaching for a gun. We don’t know if he actually has one on him. He then ran at the other neighbor’s car which was unnerving. Phil and the other neighbor have noticed this person walking up and down the 100 block of Kentucky multiple times a day over the last couple of weeks. It appears he changes his clothes throughout the day, sometimes he’s walking a small dog. The other neighbor always sees him walk down Kentucky toward the Safeway; Phil sees him walk both ways.I alerted an officer parked on 12th last night and she sat on KY for a while last night but I don’t believe she saw him. Our daughter is still pretty shaken up. This person looks to be in his late teens, early 20’s, about 5’7” with a medium build. The police have advised us to call 911 if he’s on the block so they can talk with him.I wanted to alert folks - he has done this to both an adult and kids now. Kjersten100 block KY
