I would also pay attention to the northbound traffic routing on 13th. It now has a clear bump-out that will definitely reduce the entry speed heading north on 13th, but I can see that also increasing traffic on KY as there's no clear barrier. If the intention is to increase bike traffic on KY, why make that the easier route for cars.

   In regard to multiple questions I received from some of you earlier this evening, based on the preliminary design that DDOT shared today, I asked Will Handsfield, the project manager, explicitly, how many parking spots the 100 block of Kentucky will lose upon the implementation of this program. His answer was that about 10 feet of space at the sw corner of Kentucky and East Capitol which is now used for parking will no longer be available. He pointed out that according to DDOT regulations, the space there is technically not available for parking now but that when they do a new project they check the distances, correct signs, etc. and as a result that that space will be affected.

   We've already agreed to have a phone meeting tomorrow or thursday to run over the diagram completely and make 100% sure that this interpretation is correct.
