[Lincolnparkdc] Fwd: Parking on Kentucky

I was not monitoring my email earlier this evening. It appears the notice only came in after 600p tonight for a meeting starting at 700p. This seems totally inappropriate.
It is now past 1130p so I presume the ANC meeting has adjourned.
I have just looked at the drawings and in particular that for the intersection of Kentucky/Independence/13th Street. See page 8 of drawings It appears that about a dozen parking spaces will need to be removed at this intersection in all its four quadrants. The ability to park even closer to the intersection which many of us do late at night will also be made impossible in many cases. This totally contradicts the statement in Steve Holtzman’s September 10 email that says DDOT said they did not think they would need to remove any parking spaces.
I did submit comments already questioning the need for a bike lane NW bound in the 100 block of Kentucky since there already one in the 100 block of 13th and bike lanes already totally circumnavigate Lincoln Park. This is addition to the fact there has been essentially no public education as to what are Advisory Bike Lanes. They are different than what are dedicated bike lanes. I did NOT comment on the elimination parking spaces since prior to tonight, this not appear to be an issue.
More tomorrow.

>> I've been linking up with Mr. Handsfield since this all became public. The main concern I expressed was exactly this. That we need to know if there is going to be any loss of parking by implementing this. I asked him explicitly to answer regarding the 100 block of Kentucky Ave SE. He told me that there would be no need to lose parking spots on the 100 block. That being said, I just got this provisional sketch late today and have not been able to completely analyze it yet (or rather I've looked at it several times but tried to decode it). Will Handsfield is supposed to be in our meeting tonite (which we're in the middle of right now) and I plan to ask him the question again and my views are going to be based on his answer.
