HI all,
I received this from a friend and I'm passing it along. This is a great way
to support BLM in a hyper-local way.
Please consider a donation.

Dear Friends,
I am reaching out as a volunteer organizer for the DC Ward 6 Mutual Aid
Network. In celebration of Juneteenth 2020, we are aiming to raise $8,046
by Friday to support organizations that combat systemic racism and
celebrate Black communities here in DC. These incredible organizations
include Serve Your City DC
<https://www.serveyourcitydc.org/covid-19-emergency-response>, Momma’s Safe
Haven <https://www.mommassafehaven.org/>, the TraRon Center
<https://traroncenter.org/>, Brotha’s Huddle
<https://brothashuddle.org/>, Capitol
Hill Arts Workshop, <https://www.chaw.org/> Training Grounds Inc
<http://traininggroundsdmv.org/>., ONE DC
<https://www.onedconline.org/>, Empower
DC <https://www.empowerdc.org/>, and March for Racial Justice
<https://www.m4rj.com/>.
Juneteenth is the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in Texas
learned they were free, two years after Lincoln’s Emancipation
Proclamation. You can learn more about the importance of Juneteenth to our
cause from our founder Maurice Cook HERE
<https://www.serveyourcitydc.org/donate>.
*Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network and our partner organizations rely on generous
donations in order to maintain our work delivering food, masks, and digital
access to DC’s most vulnerable Black communities. This work needs your
support. You can learn more about our efforts at www.serveyourcitydc.org
<http://www.serveyourcitydc.org>.*
*Please help us celebrate Juneteenth and Black communities by donating to
reach our goal of $8,046. Any amount is welcome!! You can donate HERE
<https://crm.bloomerang.co/HostedDonation?ApiKey=pub_a4ec09ae-a73e-11ea-9d7f-0ab70f91e480&WidgetId=17408>.*
If you are able, please consider making a commitment today to a recurring
donation. Liberation and fully funding our communities are not about one
day. This must be a sustained effort for freedom. Recurring donations mean
that we can plan ahead, knowing we have money to continue our fight for
freedom in Black communities in the long -term.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Thank you for your time! Stay safe and healthy.
