[Lincolnparkdc] Speeding traffic on 11th St SE

Neighbors we need suggestions and your help to slow down the speeding traffic on 11th St SE.
The blocks  between Lincoln Park and Pennsylvania Ave are a speedway especially from 6am-10am for commuter traffic to the Navy Yard area. 
It’s now the preferred route for heavy trucks & construction equipment and a dumpster truck driving 40mph is terrifying!
There was a recent fatal high speed crash at the 100 block & Independence intersection - a young man burned to death.
We have appealed to Charles Allen, held meetings with him & asked for help but nothing has changed.
In fact the speeding traffic is much worse because now it’s trucks too.
Other neighborhoods have solved this problem with speed indicator signs, speed cameras & enforcement ( McArthur Blvd in NW). We deserve a safe neighborhood too.
