National Park Service stopped allowing permit applications for Demonstrations and other acitvities in late March as a response to COVID. Other NPS properties in DC (National Mall, Rock Creek Park) had announced reopening of permit applications last week. Lincoln Park and other Capitol Hill parks were not included at that time. Now they are.
“We know people want the opportunity to host events or demonstrate in parks across the District,” Superintendent Tara D. Morrison said. “The permitting process helps ensure we’re able to provide opportunities for groups to assemble and be heard. It also gives us an opportunity to work with applicants to help us protect park resources while ensuring public health and safety.”.
Details as well as application procedures and links are in the attached Press Release and Record of Determination.
best,
Steve
