[Lincolnparkdc] Sharing a Happy Story about a Local Business

With so much sad and bad news, Jerry and I wanted to share something that made us feel good about what some of our business neighbors are willing to do. 
Jerry and I decided to provide dinner to the incredibly talented and devoted weekend night shift staff in Washington Hospital Center's Covid ICU. We had enjoyed several delicious gourmet takeout meals from Bistro Bis (http://bistrobis.com/ 15 E ST NW, DC) and we really like the owner and staff. I was not sure that more casual Saturday night "box dinners" would be their thing. However, when I presented the possibility to the owner, Jeff Buben, his response was, "absolutely, we want to partner with you."
>From delicious appetizers, amazing sandwiches, homemade chips, and Opera Cake, to a lovely note of appreciation on each of the 30 dinners, Bistro Bis went above and beyond. They even accommodated vegetarian and gluten free staff members. Needless to say, the ICU staff was very pleased to have all of their hard work acknowledged, even in this admittedly small way.
Thank you Jeff, Memo, Adrian and the other Bistro Bis team members. FYI, their gourmet multicourse takeout dinners are truly fabulous.
