Seeking a roommate to share the second floor of a charming brick row house
on Capitol Hill -- a 2-bedroom apartment, approximately 1300 square feet.
Flexible availability between September 13 and October 1, so can work with
your schedule. Rent is $1250/month and includes heat, water, and gas, and
we split electric 50/50. Bathroom and kitchen are shared, along with a
spacious living room and dining room. Ample attic storage space is
available, laundry is in the basement and shared with the downstairs
resident (the landlord); both are accessible from the second floor. Bike
storage available in basement with access from the front yard. Grill
outside in the front yard garden or sip drinks on the private deck at the
rear of the unit, overlooking the recently redone back yard.

The house is in a great location a half a block southeast of Lincoln Park,
in the beautiful and historic Capitol Hill neighborhood. It's a 10-minute
walk or a 3-minute bike ride from Potomac Avenue metro and a 15-minute walk
from Eastern Market metro. Ample free street parking if you have a car.
Walking distance to grocery stores, convenience stores, the shops and
farmer's market at Eastern Market, and the Barracks Row/8th Street SE
restaurant corridor.

About me: I'm a male in my mid-30s who works in arts administration and
LGBTQ civil rights advocacy. I'm friendly, easy-going, and social, and I'm
looking for a similarly easy-going roommate. I've lived here for almost
three years with my rescue pup Rosie and I love it. If you're interested,
