YOU are doing what DC’s public schools will not.

This morning, only four days after we put out the call for our "We Keep Us
Safe" Back to School Bash, you have helped us raise enough money to provide *86
backpacks* to students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate in
online learning this fall. These backpacks are filled with all the items
that EVERY student needs to be successful this year: a laptop, internet
hotspot, face masks, sanitizer, fun games, and more.

Our goal is 150 backpacks (and—don’t tell anyone—we’re really hoping you’ll
put us over 200). Every student deserves the tools to excel in school.
Together, we are taking care of us, because the city won’t. We are all part
of the solution!

*CHAW art fundraiser for Ward 6 Mutual Aid*

Throughout the month of August, Capital Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) is
hosting an art print sale from DMV artists to benefit W6MA. These images of
the artists’ works will be on sale for $50 for an 8”x10” print. All sold
images will be professionally printed and mailed in September with all
proceeds going towards the critical work the Mutual Aid Network is doing.
