[Lincolnparkdc] Locksmith

Locksmithing is a dirty business, you are right to be concerned. National companies set up local phone number and then dispatch poorly trained people at exorbitant prices.

I recommend New District Lock. http://districtlock.com/. They had a store on 8th Street for many years, but now work out of a van. Give them a call at (202) 415-0483.

If you just want to buy stuff, then go to Central Safe and Locksmith near the convention center. They may also do locksmithing (there is a “work order” form on their website), but I mainly know them as a place to get locks, hard-to-find keys, etc. http://www.centralsafeandlock.com/

Hello neighbors,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable locksmith who will not try to rip us off?

This is not an emergency.

Thanks and hope you are having a good weekend.
