Hello Neighbors,
I had an idea for a way to clean out my closet while also supporting local
charity efforts to feed DC's healthcare workers/first responders and keep
local restaurants in business! *I'd like to offer clothing items for sale
to my Capitol Hill neighbors and donate the full sales price to DC-area
charity Feed The Fight. *This charity is wonderful because it shows
appreciation for healthcare workers in DC, Maryland & Virginia by providing
them with delicious meals, and also helps to keep local restaurants in
business during the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information on Feed the
Fight, visit the website at https://feedthefight.org/.
*How it Works: *Check out the pieces I am selling here (you do not need to
have a Facebook account):
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.105811284428102&type=3&__tn__=-UC-R
*If* *you like something, shoot me an email at LucyAnnaNovick at gmail.com
<LucyAnnaNovick at gmail.com> and identify the item. **I will deliver
it--contactless, of course!--anywhere on Capitol Hill and accept payment
through cash, Venmo, or Paypal (will provide details when you email me.)
Once I receive payment, I will immediately donate the full amount to Feed
the Fight, and submit your email address in the donation form (unless you
prefer otherwise) so you will receive the receipt directly from the
charity.* I should be able to make deliveries within one day of your
agreement to purchase it. You are welcome to delay payment until you have
the item in-hand. I will leave items on your porch if in a house; if you
are in an apartment building, I will leave it right out front at a time
that is mutually agreed upon.
*For the sake of simplicity and because I will give the money to charity
right away, I will not accept returns. Also, because I will be
walking/jogging over to drop off items, I will only deliver within the
Capitol Hill/some of NoMa area. I may make exceptions for Chinatown and
Navy Yard for orders over $45.*
Sorry that the inventory is a little limited in terms of number of items
and size -- this is just what I have in my closet!-- but please do share
this widely with any ladies on the Hill who might wear a size Medium or
feel free to buy something as a gift for a friend.
This coronavirus won't last forever; at some point we'll be back out and
about and having new clothes helps celebrate the occasion :)
Stay safe!
Lucy
