[Lincolnparkdc] Fwd: Police and National Guard in Lincoln Park

I am going ask that we give these guys a break.  I'm the furthest thing from an apologist for the police (a civil rights and race discrimination lawyer).  But these guys are often stuck in cars with partners where it is pretty much impossible to stay 6 feet apart as well as in morning briefing meetings where I am pretty sure they can't stay 6 feet apart.  When they have to question or arrest someone, they don't have the optin of social distancing. Not to mention the fact that I have watched many of our neighbors approach them much closer than 6 feet to complain about their presence.  I wouldn't be surprised if the overwhelming majority of them would be happy to "telework."  They can't and none of us would be happy if they tried to.  With warm regards, Sarah von der Lippe
