WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Missing the National Zoo? Want to get outside with
your kids for a fun activity?
About 200 Georgetown residents are participating in a "street safari" by
placing stuffed animals in their windows.
A similar hunt has been planned in D.C.'s Takoma neighborhood, and other
neighborhoods throughout the U.S.
Some are calling them "stuffed animal safaris," or "teddy bear hunts," but
the idea is the same everywhere - to help kids and parents in areas that
are on lockdown due to COVID-19 pass the time by participating in a safe
activity outdoors.
Can you find all the Georgetown critters? Give the scavenger-hunt style
activity a try. You can find every animal tagged on this map, and a list of
locations here. The animals include bears, lions, iguanas, owls, chipmunks,
pigs, dalmatians, and alligators.
