Dear neighbors,
As you may have noticed on social media, many DC nonprofits have launched
their Do More 24 <https://www.domore24.org/> fundraising campaigns. I am
writing you today to ask for your support. I’ve been a member of the
Associate Board with City Kids Wilderness Project <https://citykidsdc.org/>
for the last 2 years and they truly are an incredible nonprofit here in the
DC area and having remarkable results!
The goal of all City Kids programming is to build resiliency, broaden
horizons, and ensure the skills for success for DC youth through intensive,
long-term programming using wilderness settings to encourage growth. They
provide over 130 youth with a 7-year outdoor leadership program starting in
the 6th grade and stay with them all through high school.
In the last 3 years alone, 100% of their program graduates have graduated
from high school, compared to DC’s 69% average. In addition, 85% of those
youth have enrolled in college, vocational schooling, or the military!
Last year, the Associate Board raised $15,000 for the program. However,
this year we’ve set a goal to raise $20,000 which would allow us to fully
fund the flight and programmatic costs for all 20 of our incoming 6th grade
students to fly from DC to Jackson, Wyoming and embark on their first ever
3-week summer camp experience and explore both Yellowstone and Grand Teton
National Park!
I personally have set a goal of $1,000. I have already raised $700 of my
goal and would love your help reaching (or even exceeding) my goal!
(Donations currently do not show up on the fundraising page during the
early giving period but will go live on May 22. I am able to track my
progress in the backend of the fundraising page.)
If you would like to make a contribution to my personal fundraising goal,
you can do so at: https://www.domore24.org/ashleyfox. No donation is too
small and every dollar helps! This really is a great local non-profit to
support.

questions. Thank you in advance for your support, I truly appreciate it!
All the best,
