>From my observation, the city only puts trash cans at bus stops or in front of commercial buildings.  I can’t think of any in front of a residence that is not a bus stop.

Not a great location for people walking from park. They would have to carry it all the way from the park to Independence.  We already have many issues on this corner, so we would appreciate it if you would not request a trash can on this corner.

Not that I know of.  Anyway people r not going to walk to park in the middle of traffic. And surely will not walk to crosswalk. No if folks can’t tie their poop bags responsibly, they will not make a trip to park to dispose of bag. IMHO. I’m calling DPW anyway. We may have a case for NIMBY and I understand. Perhaps Ind and 12th St. ?  House far from street than Diana is. Lots of walkers on that route as well from Metro and Eastern Market going home. 🙃A thought. ?

Well that?s not helpful is it?  That?s across the park and two blocks up NC NE. They must be kidding. How does that service SE side and the area over here?  Certainly a trashcan too far!!

Diana. I agree. People do not tie their bags and throw them so they land in between actual receptacle and frame. Yucky. So we do need a solution. Otherwise these same offenders will use personal cans on street and tree boxes. Also I?m sure that one was nasty for bus stop folks. But don?t be surprised if we see trash, wrappers, juice containers and all variety of garbage on the ground. I see this on 11 th street. We did not have so much litter. We will now I suspect.
