I talked to the guys last night. They said they had to repair a cable and waited until late because it was so hot.

The power went out about 5 AM just as I was leaving. There were 2 or 3 Pepco trucks on the scene corner of 13th and Independence at the time it went out. I presume the outage was the result of whatever Pepco was doing.

Looks like the power is out in the 100 bl of Kentucky. Pepco site https://s3.amazonaws.com/stormcenter.pepco.com/m.html says 611 customers with an est time of return 8am. From the map, it looks like it extends to Independence too, although their est time is 6:30am. Wonder what happened?
