[Lincolnparkdc] Political Sign Vandals

I wanted to respond to the below message to share that, likewise, Joe
Weedon’s campaign signs are being pulled down and left in the streets.

This has mostly been the case in and around SW DC, but also in the Noma and
some other areas of Ward 6. Also a supporter’s yard sign was recently spray
painted (candidate's name crossed out).

I can tell you that his campaign team does NOT think this is due to his
challenger in the race nor any of her supporters. It's likely young people
or other vandals without a dog in the fight. The board of education Ward 6
race has been civil and both candidates are absolutely committed to keeping
it that way.

Any suggestion that this vandalism-- in either direction-- is driven by
campaign supporters is baseless and unfortunate. Please stop spreading it.

Best,
Iris
