Jessica Sutter for Board of Education is by far the best choice for change in an education structure that is failing our students.
We need better than the same old same old approach to educating. DC continues to lag behind other cities of the same size in spite of adequate financial resources. Jessica Sutter, a former teacher who understand the challenges, represents that change for a Board of Education that will meet the needs of current and future teachers.
No, I’m not on anyone’s payroll, staff, or a volunteer. But, I’ve lived in DC and on the Hill for 50 years, seen politicians come and go. We need a much more active and responsive representative on the Board of Education. It’s time for a change for the better.

Ward 6 representative. Whether you are a parent or not, a strong education system is an important part of continuing to strengthen all of our communities and neighborhoods. I support Joe Weedon for re-election because I believe he is the best candidate to help us continue to improve schools for all students.

I also value Joe's work on the ground - he knows our teachers, principals, students, and families because he spends time in our schools and in classrooms, implementing programming.

Joe has been endorsed by community leaders, educators and parents: Councilmember Charles Allen (Ward 6), Councilmember Robert White (At-Large), Washington?s Teachers, the Jews United for Justice, and many PTA leaders, ANC members, and parent and community members from across Ward 6. You can see more of his endorsements here: https://www.joeweedon.com/endorsements.
